Addison Lee Jones, 72, of Austinville VA, passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2023.

Born April 20, 1951, in Pulaski VA, he was the son of the late John Addison Jones and Alene "Shupe" Jones.

He was a good friend and a dedicated husband and father, who loved his church family at Round Knob Church of Christ. He loved Quarter horse riding. He was a horse trainer and he had received several trophies and ribbons when he was younger in horse shows. He was a Heavy Equipment Operator and a Logger. He lived life to the fullest. He never met a stranger. He would and did talk to everyone and always spoke his mind. He loved his grandchildren, Speck, his dog and Oreo his cat.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Joyce Jones of the home; one daughter, J.J. Jennings (Andy) of Ivanhoe VA; his sister, Diane Sutphin (Dean) of Blacksburg VA; two grandchildren, Nikki Jennings of Ivanhoe VA and Drew Jennings of Iowa; one niece Sarah Brown (Brandon) of Charlotte N.C; special friends, Bill Meyers and Peaty Austin who were like brothers through his whole life.

Memorial services will be conducted, Sunday, October 29, 2023, at 3 p.m. at the Reese Funeral Home in Austinville with Pastor Edward Buchanan officiating. Friends may call Sunday, October 29, 2023, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Reese Funeral Home in Austinville VA.
