Aleen C. Aker, 94, of Max Meadows, Va., passed away Thursday, February 24, 2022. She was born July 17, 1927, in Wythe County, she was the daughter of the late Carlie Carico and Linnie Leath Carico

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Elmo G. Aker, brother John Carico , one daughter in law Patricia Aker.

She and her husband pastored Gravley Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church for 4 8 years

She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, the Rev. Joyce and the Rev. Bobby Alley; one son and daughter-in-law, Elmo Randell and Kimberly Taylor Aker all of Max Me adows; four grandchildren Randy Aker, Bradley Aker, Tony Alley, Tracy Alley; two step grandchildren Robby Lyons and Beth McGee; three step great grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, Gage Alley, Savannah Alley, Nathaniel Alley, Austin Alley; four great great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and numerous good friends. Two sisters, Mary Lawson of Fries VA, and Dolores Yow of Galax VA. Special thanks to Wythe Hospice of SW VA, and Jennifer Bennett for the love and care that they gave to Ma.

Funeral services will be held Monday February 28, 2022 at 7 p.m., at the St Paul Pentecostal Church in Ft Chiswell VA, with the Rev s, J.C. McPeak, Steve Board, and Tracy Alley officiating . The family will receive friends at the St Paul Pentecostal Church in Ft Chiswell VA. from 5-7 P.M. Monday, February 28, 2022. Graveside Services will be held Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at 11 a.m. at West End Cemetery in Wytheville VA, with burial to follow.
