Alena Mae Hoback, 74 of Hillsville VA, passed away, Sunday, May 22, 2022. Born May 2, 1948 in Fairfax County VA; she was the daughter of the late Odie and Laverne Davis Liptrap. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters.

She loved the outdoors and Gardening. She enjoyed reading history.

Survivors include her husband Robert of Independence VA, one son, James Hoback of Brooklyn NY, one sister, Carolyn Degray of Albany GA, several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Extended family.

In Keeping with her wishes, the body has been cremated.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 28, 2022 at the Barnett Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until service time.
