Alice Faye Rickey Howery, age 84, of Max Meadows, VA passed away Saturday, January 28, 2023. She was born January 14, 1939 in Wythe County, daughter of the late Russell Alexander and Ethel Lee Cox Rickey. Alice was preceded in death by her brother, Lawrence Rickey.

Survivors include her husband, Paul H. Howery; two sons, Michael D. Howery and Todd Howery, all of Max Meadows; her daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Jeff Henley of Wytheville; two grandchildren, Brandon Archer and Justin Archer;  three sisters and brother-in-law, Mary and Leo Workman of Dublin, Judy Alvord of Charlotte, NC and Donna Nance of Wytheville; brother and sister-in-law, Gilmer and Jean Rickey of Piney; several nieces, nephews and many extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday February 3, 2023 at the Barnett Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Barnett Funeral Home with the Reverend Rick Lindamood officiating. Burial will follow in West End Cemetery.
