Alice Carey Mills, age 84, of Wytheville, VA passed away Thursday, November 30, 2023. She was born August 13, 1939 in Wythe County, daughter of the late Cabble Carey and May Jones Carey. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claston Mills; a son, Dwight "Johnny" Mills; a sister, Darkes Anderson; two brothers, George Carey and Terry Carey.

Alice retired last year from the Wytheville Walmart after 18 years of employment.

Survivors include two sons, Gary and Malissa Mills, Charles and Lesa Mills all of Ivanhoe, VA; two daughters, Susan and Gary Webb of Max Meadows and Melissa Arnold of Ivanhoe; two brothers, Robert Carey and Larry Wayne Carey, both of Roanoke, VA; twelve grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at the Barnett Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before service time.
