Allie Jane Saferight Moore, age 87, of Rural Retreat, VA passed away Thursday, April 13, 2023. She was born October 11, 1935 in Wythe County, daughter of the late James Ribble and Violet Reed Saferight. Allie was also preceded in death by her grandson, Justin Moore and her sister, Phyllis McPeak; two brothers, James Edgar Saferight and Eullus Saferight. Allie was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her son, Robert Anthony "Tony" Moore and wife Janet of Clarksville, TN; grandson, Joshua Moore; two great-grandchildren, Giannia Moore and Knox Moore; her brother, Landon Saferight and wife Patricia of Wytheville, VA; a niece, Jeanette McGuire and husband Johnny of Bristol, VA.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at the Barnett Funeral Chapel with the Reverend Ted Anders officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Burial will follow at Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery on Peppers Ferry Road, Wytheville.
