Alma "Bootsie" Clemons Porter, age 95, of Wytheville, VA (the Piney community) passed away Saturday, February 28, 2026. She was born December 17, 1930 in Meadowview, VA, daughter of the late Claude and Charity Parish Clemons. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Lee "Bill" Porter; infant son, Barry Lee Porter; three sisters, Emily Fisher, Margaret Hopkins and Jewell Alley; two brothers, Preston Clemons and Claude Clemons.

Survivors include her daughter, Joan and husband Sam Harmon of Piney; sisters-in-law, Joyce Dickson, Peggy Stone and Claudine Porter; three grandchildren, Kristen and husband Adam Williams, Jonathan Harmon and David Harmon; two great-grandchildren, Dawson Williams and Mia Williams. Several nieces, nephews and many extended family and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at the Barnett Funeral Home with Charles Dickson officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until service time at noon. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Community Church Cemetery.
