Obituary

Amy Smith Pickle age 55 of Rural Retreat, VA passed away Saturday, November 2, 2024 at her home.  She was born in Wythe Co., VA on November 12, 1968 the daughter of the late Frank Edward Smith, Sr. and Frances Alene Gordon Smith. Amy was a member of the Asbury Church in Rural Retreat.

Surviving are her husband of 35 years, David Pickle; son and  daughter-in-law, Christopher Ryan Smith (Tabathia); step-daughter, Dawn Lail; grandchildren, Luke (Rachel), Levi, Laytin, Caleb; sister, Angelia Halsey;  brother, Frank Smith, Jr. (Cindy); several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 7:00 P.M.  Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at the Lindsey Memorial Chapel with Pastor Derek Cowan officiating.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. prior to the service.  Graveside committal services will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at the Mt. Zion Community Church (the Crawfish Valley) in Rural Retreat, VA.  Memorials may be made to the Asbury Church.
