Angelia Dawn
Smith Halsey
March 3, 1974 – March 5, 2026
Angelia Dawn Smith Halsey, lovingly known as "Pooh," 52, of Wytheville, Virginia, gained her wings and received her eternal reward on Thursday, March 5, 2026. Born on March 3, 1974, in Wythe County, Virginia, she was the cherished daughter of the late Frank and Frances Smith.
Angelia was a devoted mother, proud grandmother, and the heart of her family. Her life was centered around her two children and the joy she found in her four beloved grandchildren. She rarely missed a ball game or practice and was always the loudest cheerleader on the sidelines. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and she loved nothing more than spending time with them and spoiling them every chance she could.
She had a deep love for the outdoors and especially enjoyed fishing, where she found peace and happiness surrounded by nature. Angelia carried a warm spirit that made people feel welcome and loved wherever she went.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Trista (Rebecca) Martin and Heath (Delanie) Martin; and her four precious grandchildren, Alex, Bella, Aspyn, and Ila.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Amy Pickle, and her grandparents, William and Della Smith.
Angelia will forever be remembered for her radiant smile, her kind and giving heart, and the love she freely shared with everyone she met. Her unwavering faith, compassion, and strength will continue to live on through her children, their spouses, and the grandchildren she adored so deeply.
Though she will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort knowing her love and legacy will live on in their hearts forever.
The family would like to extend a special Thank you to the caring and loving staff at Abingdon Health & Rehab.
A memorial service will be held at a later date where family and friends will gather to celebrate Angelia's life and the many beautiful memories she leaves behind.
