Arthur Walter Sawyers, age 78, of Wytheville, VA passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2024. He was born July 30, 1945 in Wythe County, the son of the late Walter Sawyers and Lucille Crockett Sawyers. He was also preceded in death by several sisters.

Arthur was a retired employee with the Town of Wytheville.

Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Sheilah B. Sawyers; a son, Kamani Plummer; a daughter, Sarah Plummer; a grandson, Makari Plummer; two sisters, Marie Graham and Joan Moran. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Bethlehem Baptist Church with Pastor Shelley Kyle officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the church.
