Ashley Dale Arney, age 55, of Rural Retreat, went to be with the Lord August 21, 2022 after fighting a long and courageous battle with cancer.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Forrest and Zella Arney, his parents Jerry and Charlotte Arney of Rural Retreat.

Ashley is survived by his daughter Zoe Arney and grandson Waylon of Wytheville, one sister and brother-in-law Tina and Danny Hostetler of Rural Retreat. Four nieces Crystal Umbarger, Jessica Lemmon, Lorrie "Lolly" Hostetler, and special niece and caregiver Danielle Hostetler all of Rural Retreat. Nephews William "Wilbur" Hostetler and Phillip Hostetler of Rural Retreat. Several great nieces and nephews also survive.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Rural Retreat Depot on Friday, August 26, 2022 at 6:30 P.M. with Pastor Travis Price Officiating.
