On January 17, 2025, heaven gained another angel. Audrey Wolford Riggle Copenhaver, age 97, of Rural Retreat, VA. She was born to the late Allen Reed and Nettie Mae Irvin Wolford on November 25, 1927. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jewell C. Riggle and many years later by her second husband John R. Copenhaver; four brothers, Reed and wife Elizabeth; Clayton and wife Brownie; Willis; Fred and wife Ocela; four sisters, Myra Sayers and husband Donald; Elizabeth Kincer; Thelma Tarter and husband Bob; Zelma Tarter and husband John. Also, brother-in-law Buss Worton.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law Pam and Rick Buchanan of Bristol, VA; two granddaughters Mindy and John King, Gina and Brian Hutchinson; the apple of her eye great grandson Reed Hutchinson; one brother Danny and Nancy Wohlford; one sister Vivian Worton, sister-in-law, Betty Wolford and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Audrey is also survived by the family of John R. Copenhaver.

Funeral Service will be held 1 P.M. Monday, January 20, 2025 at Mt. Ephraim Church with Pastor Steve Alderman officiating.  Interment will follow in the Mt. Ephraim Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Monday at Mt. Ephraim.
