Barry Randolph Smith, age 63, of Max Meadows, VA passed away Monday, June 13, 2022. He was born March 31, 1959 in Wythe County, the son of the late William Peter and Juanita Mathews Smith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Hattie Mae "Ginger" Shaffer and two brothers, William P. Smith, Jr. and Terry Lee Smith.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Nikki and Luke Baumgarten of Wheaton, IL; grandchildren, Alexa Baumgarten and Andi Baumgarten; a sister, Toni Gayle Cowan and Ed Kolb of Brunswick, GA; special friend, Linda Wood. Several nieces, nephews and many extended family and friends also survive.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 1, 2022 at West End Cemetery with Pastor Todd Porter officiating.
