Betsy Ann Sawyers Johnson, 73, of Wytheville VA, passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2023. Born September 16, 1949 in Wytheville VA, she was the daughter of the late Walter Sawyers and Lucille Crockett Sawyers.

She loved her kids and grandchildren. She loved flowers and spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed shopping.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Ashley Danielle Johnson; two sisters, Clifton Sawyers and Pansy Lee Sawyers.

Survivors include her husband, James "Putt Putt" Johnson; two children, Tracy Johnson Holmes and husband Donald "Boogie" of Marion VA, James E. Johnson III and wife Heather of Wytheville VA; brother, Arthur Sawyers and twin sister, Betsy Marie Graham, sister, Joan Moran; grandchildren, Johnathan Blake Gravley, Caitlin Breann Johnson; several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 7, 2023 at the Barnett Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
