Betty Jean Arnold King, 64, of Rural Retreat, VA passed away Sunday, February 2, 2025.  She was born November 29, 1960 in Wytheville, VA the daughter of the late Freda "Sis" Blevins.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband Jerry Lee King and son Matthew Blake King, sister Gayle Neugent, brother Allan Akers and sister-in-law Donna King.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Tanner Layne King; brother, Jesse Neugent of Wytheville, VA; three brothers-in-law, Jimmy King, Johnny and Lisa King, and David and Tammy King, all of Smyth County; several grandchildren; very special friends, Patty Brewer and Peggy Hash of Rural Retreat; several nieces, nephews and friends also survive.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon Thursday, February 6, 2025 at Lindsey Memorial Chapel  with Pastor Todd Porter officiating.  Family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until service time.  Interment will follow at Rosewood Memorial Gardens.
