Betty Lucille Manuel Atkinson, age 88, of Max Meadows, VA passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2022. She was born August 29, 1933 in Wythe County, daughter of the late Frank and Virginia Lephew Manuel. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Reverend Hampton Talmadge Atkinson and daughter, Christal Noel Atkinson.

Survivors include four daughters, Pam and Dale Sayers, Myra Floyd, Teresa and Timothy Aker, Rebecca and Scott Freeman. Five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, April 22, 2022 at the Millennium World Outreach Center with the Reverend Kent Lewis officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until service time at the church.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 23, 2022 at the Appalachian Conference IPHC Cemetery in Dublin, VA. Barnett Funeral Home, Wytheville, VA is serving the family.
