Betty Virginia Crigger Rice, age 85, of Randleman, NC formerly of Wythe County, VA passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2025. She was born April 25, 1940 in Wythe County, VA to the late Rufus Robert Crigger and Alfa Elizabeth Vaughn Crigger. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Garland Rice, her children, Teresa Marie Rice and Robert Christopher Rice, and a brother Robert "Bobby" Crigger.

She is survived by her children Anthony Ray "Tony" Rice (Pam) of Randleman, NC, Steven Lee Rice (Tammy), Sophia, NC, Angela Beth Briggs (Eddie) Ramseur, NC; grandchildren Jennifer, Tony, Chelsea, Sarah, Danielle, Christopher, Ashlin, Jeremiah, Savannah, Marissa; 15 great grandchildren; siblings Larry & Helen Crigger, Eddie & Opal Crigger and Pamela & Gary Henley all of Rural Retreat, VA.

Funeral Services will be held 3:00 P.M. Sunday, May 18, 2025, at the Lindsey Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Reverend Mark Noel officiating. Interment will follow at the Groseclose Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 P.M. prior to the service.
