Betty Mae O'Dell Surratt, age 83, of Bristol, VA passed away Saturday, January 10, 2026. She was born March 8, 1942 in Pulaski County, daughter of the late Willie O'Dell and Bessie Mae Finn O'Dell. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Peggy White and a brother, Willie O'Dell, Jr.

Survivors include her husband, Lewis Surratt of the home; her son, Jeffrey Surratt of Bristol, VA; her daughter, Lisa Surratt Hughes of Bristol, TN; two grandchildren, Careena Surratt and Michelle Surratt; a sister, Janice Anderson of Dublin, VA. Many extended family and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 15, 2026 at the Reese Funeral Home with the Reverend Tom Maurer officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until service time.

Burial will be held at 3:00 p.m. at Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin, VA.
