Bobbie Jean Dunford Stroupe, age 70, of Wytheville, VA passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2017. She was born January 19, 1947 in Wythe County, daughter of the late Edward G. "Slush" Dunford and Hattie Forrest King Dunford. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Ann Stroupe Umberger and two sisters, Connie Dunford Gunter and Iva Dunford Stroupe. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Sidney "Buttermilk" Stroupe; children, Connie Stroupe Rosenbaum and husband Darrell, Sidney "Charlie" Stroupe, Jr. and wife Candy, Tina Ann Stroupe, Susan McKinney and Joel, Karla Corvin and Donnie, Christine Taylor, David R. Stroupe, Edwin Stroupe; son-in-law, Duane Umberger; twenty grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 27, 2017 at the Rosenbaum Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Reverend Jarrod Midkiff and Reverend J.C. McPeak officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Barnett Funeral Home.
