Bruce Timothy Aker, age 71, of Wytheville, VA (the Piney community) passed away Sunday, April 12, 2026 at his residence. He was born August 29, 1954 in Wythe County, son of the late John Bramlett Aker and Mary Bralley Aker.

Survivors include his wife, Susie Aker; two sons, Joshua Bruce Aker and Rachel, Timothy Tyler and Jamey Aker; five grandchildren, Aiden Hodges, Kennedy Aker, Aubrie Aker, Karson Aker and Sage Aker; a sister, Ethel Buckhout; two brothers, Neil Aker, Rudy and Vicki Aker.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at the Wytheville First Assembly of God with Pastor Michael Hoback officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until service time. Barnett Funeral Home, Wytheville, VA is serving the Aker family.
