Carl Lynn Alley, age 79, of Austinville, VA passed away Monday, September 11, 2017. He was born September 8, 1938 in Wythe County, the son of the late Kyle Alley and Leota Williams Alley. He was also preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.  He was a retired United States Army Veteran and proudly and honorably served for over twenty years.

He attended Bakers Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church. Carl is survived by his wife of 53 years, Martha June Alley; two sons, Kevin Alley of Sheffey School Road, Michael and Jennifer Alley of Fort Chiswell; three daughters, Kimberly and Audie Arnold of Cripple Creek, Michelle and Timothy Duncan of Fort Chiswell, Victoria and Tommy Mc Peak of Wytheville; daughter adopted by love, Mary and Danny Hatfield of Johnson City, TN; six grandchildren, Jared Arnold, Devin Arnold, Kasey Alley, Kyle Alley, Colton Alley and  Alley Duncan; two step grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; brother, Danny K. and Phyllis Alley of Ivanhoe; sister, Nancy Shupe of Fries; three sisters-in-law, Betty Alley of Ashtabula, OH, Barbara Alley of Amelia, VA and Micky Alley of Richmond.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at Bakers Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church with Pastor Jim Tunnell and Pastor Brandon Hughes officiating.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until service time at the church.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 14 at Rosenbaum Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery. National Guard Unit will conduct graveside military rites. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Bakers Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church.
