Reverend Carlton Andrew Dean, age 82, of Austinville, VA passed away Thursday, November 14, 2024. He was born in Wythe County, the son of the late Cloyd Swanson Dean and Lessie Alley Dean. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Louise Bishop Dean; a brother, Charles Dean; three sisters, Frances Sutphin, Betty Sonners and Ruth Dean; a granddaughter, Crystal Warburton Hupp and great-granddaughter, Alaylah Davidson.

Survivors include his wife, Eula Roberta Dean, of the home; two daughters, Susan and Jeff Johnson of Austinville, Ann and Ricky Wayne Warburton of Fort Chiswell; two stepsons, Ricky Wayne and Ann Warburton of Fort Chiswell, VA and James Taylor Warburton of Glade Spring, VA; two sisters, Mae Quesenberry of Draper, VA and Willie Sonners of Pulaski, VA; a brother, Reverend Billy and Janice Dean of Wytheville, VA; twelve grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; his fur baby, "Duke."

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 17, 2024 at the Reese Funeral Home with Reverend Jerry Alley and Reverend Mary Morris officiating. Burial will follow in Bethany Community Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Saturday, November 16th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
