Carol Stoots, 83 of Wytheville VA, passed away, Friday, October 11, 2024. Born January 4, 1941, in Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Leon and Sarah Elizabeth Fortier.

She loved life, spending time with her children and grandchildren. She loved going to church. She was kind and considerate to others. She was a very caring person.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband of 66 years, James" Bill" Stoots, of the home; three children, Theresa Manley and husband Shawn of Salem VA, J.W. Stoots and wife Robyn of Austinville VA, Ronnie Stoots and wife Dreama of Chester VA; sisters, Barbara Gandee of Baltimore MD and Beverly Karmasack and husband Louis of Baltimore MD; one brother, Jim and Dawn Zimmerman of Baltimore MD; seven grandchildren, ten great- grandchildren and one on the way.

Memorial services will be conducted Monday, October 14, 2024 at 7 p.m. at Millenium World Outreach Church with Pastor Kent Lewis officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. service time.
