With profound sadness and deep love, we announce the passing of Carol Benyi Williams, who left us on June 20, 2026, in Rural Retreat. Carol’s journey through life was defined by an extraordinary capacity for kindness, resilience, and an unwavering devotion to those she loved.

Born on March 5, 1948, in Pennsylvania, Carol was the cherished daughter of Arthur and Helen White. She grew up drawing strength from the warmth of her family, forging an unshakable bond with her brother, Sam Benyi. Though preceded in death by her parents and her beloved brother—losses that profoundly shaped her nurturing soul—Carol carried their memories close to her heart, meeting both sorrow and joy with immense grace.

She leaves a Legacy of Love: Children, Grandchildren, and Great-Grandchildren

Above all, Carol’s greatest pride and happiness came from her role as a matriarch. She poured unconditional love into every generation of her family.

  • Children: She is survived by her beloved child, Marcus Williams and wife Michelle, whose life stands as a testament to Carol’s gentle guidance. Carol’s heart also carried the enduring memory of her dear child, Joshua Williams, whose spirit she honored every single day.
  • Grandchildren: Her love multiplied with the arrival of her grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her life. She is survived by Breanah and husband Cory Williams, Justice and wife Journie Williams, and Layne Williams.
  • Great-Grandchildren: Carol was further blessed to see her legacy grow through her precious great-grandchildren, Ryleigh Williams, Emmitt Williams, and Baby Jenni.

She will also be missed by her special friend Angie Taylor. "Those who knew Carol will remember her gentle smile, her ceaseless encouragement, and the deep empathy with which she approached every encounter."

Throughout her life, Carol embodied compassion. She had a rare gift for uplifting those around her, whether through a tender word or a comforting embrace. Her legacy lives on not only in the family she fiercely loved, but also in the countless quiet acts of kindness and understanding that defined her daily life.

In addition to her family, Carol will be remembered for her unwavering sense of responsibility and her quiet, earnest approach to life. Her character reflected integrity and kindness, leaving an enduring impression.

Her passing marks the conclusion of a life well-lived—a life defined by family bonds, personal strength, and the lasting effects of her kindness and care.

Service arrangements will be shared at a later date. All who knew Carol are invited to reflect on her memory and celebrate the meaningful life she led.
