Cecil Ray Dunford, age 76 of Rural Retreat, VA passed away Sunday, December 25, 2022.  He was born in Rural Retreat, VA on March 6, 1946 the son of the late John Henry Dunford and Maxine Newman Dunford.  He was preceded in death by his wife Carolyn Jean Hudson Dunford; brothers, Donald Dunford, infants, Robert Lee and James  Robert Dunford, sisters, Elizabeth Dillman and Frances Robinette.

Surviving are brothers, Ed and Mildred Dunford of Max Meadows, VA, Rev. Bobbie and Dianne Dunford of Rural Retreat, VA; several nieces and nephews also survive,

Funeral services will be held 7:00 P.M. Thursday, December 29, 2022 at the Lindsey Memorial Chapel with Rev. Don Scott and Rev. Roger Crigger officiating.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M. prior to the service.

Interment will follow in the Olive Branch Cemetery in Austinville, VA on Friday, December 30, 2022.
