Chad Graham Cline, age 53, of Max Meadows, VA (Fort Chiswell area) passed away Thursday, January 29, 2026 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born July 6, 1972 in Wythe County, the son of the late Ersel Dwayne Cline, Sr. and Onetta Jean Manley Cline Lawson.

Survivors include a daughter, Eleanor Jean Cline of Lynchburg, VA; a brother, Eric Cline, Jr. of Max Meadows, VA; step-father, Ronald Lawson of Barren Springs, VA.

Chad is also survived by several extended family members and many friends that are more like family.

Chad loved farming the land and playing music (having lived and performed in Nashville). He was definitely team Hokies. Chad never met a stranger and always welcomed everyone in. He settled in at Real Life Ministries in Wytheville, was baptized and used his God given talent in service to his Lord.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, February 7, 2026 at the Barnett Funeral Chapel with Pastor J.R. Gilman officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. service time. Burial will take place at Mount Zion Cemetery in the Piney community at a later date due to weather conditions.
