Charles Edmund
Adams
November 15, 1949 – November 8, 2025
Charles Edmund Adams, 75, of Max Meadows, Virginia, passed away peacefully in his home on November 8, 2025. He was born on November 15, 1949, in Wytheville, Virginia to the late Stephen L. and Mildred Ratcliffe Adams.
Charles proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army and retired from Quadrant Engineering. He lived his life with kindness and humility, always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. His family and friends will forever remember his generosity, quick wit and unwavering sense of humor.
Charles found joy in the simplest pleasures—spending time with his beloved pets, he was an avid sports fan, especially devoted to cheering on the Fort Chiswell Pioneers and enjoyed sharing laughter over a meal with those he loved. He was a beloved brother, a wonderful uncle to many nieces and nephews and a loyal friend to all who knew him. Charles will be deeply missed, but his selflessness, compassion, and caring heart will forever be remembered by those who loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Stephen L. and Mildred Ratcliffe Adams, and his brother, James William "Billy" Adams.
He is survived by: brother Stephen "Buddy" and Judy Adams of Roanoke, VA; sister Helen "Missy" and Rodney Bussey of Berea, KY; sister Barbara and Eddie Bishop of Travelers Rest, SC; brother Dennis and Sandy Adams of Statesville, NC; sister Sue and Gary Walker of Roanoke, VA; brother Douglas and Esta Adams of Max Meadows, VA; sister Janet Adams of Max Meadows, VA; and sister Alice and Lewis Arnold of Mullins, WV. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family who will cherish his memory.
