Charles Burlin Austin, age 85, of Max Meadows, VA passed away Sunday, October 9, 2022. He was born March 14, 1937 in Wythe County, son of the late Hal Hurley Austin and Mary Smythers Poole.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Della Yates Austin. Charles was a fan of NASCAR.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Pat Snow of Barren Springs, VA; three sons and daughters-in-law, Gregory Charles and Liz Austin of Max Meadows, Anthony and Missy Austin of Barren Springs and Logan Austin of Max Meadows; grandchildren, Josh, Kristina, Sammy, Lindsay, Amber, Aaron and Hailey; great grandchildren, Fred and on the way, Willow. Several nieces, nephews and a host of extended family and friends also survive.

There will be no services. Reese Funeral Home, Austinville, VA is serving the Austin family.
