Charles Campbell, age 54 of Wytheville, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2026. Born on September 25, 1971, in Marion, Virginia, he was the beloved son of Esther Mae Crockett Campbell and the late Randolph Noah Campbell Jr.
Charles was a remarkably hard worker who threw his entire heart and soul into every project he tackled. Known for being exceptionally good with his hands, he possessed the rare talent of being able to fix almost anything. He was an excellent driver, had a keen eye for antiques, and shared a deep passion for music. Above all, Charles loved football and was a die-hard fan of his Dallas Cowboys.
To know Charles was to love him. He truly never met a stranger, possessed a contagious laugh, and was always seen with a bright smile on his face. He was quite the ladies' man, but his deepest love was saved for his family and for helping out anyone in need.
Most importantly, Charles was a man of faith. He beautifully gave his life to the Lord in 2015 and was baptized on August 30, 2015, a milestone that brought immense joy to his life and family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Randolph Noah Campbell Jr., grandfather Randolph Campbell Sr., great-grandfather Pastor James Campbell and maternal grandfather Reverend Ed Crockett (a dedicated minister).
Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Esther Mae Crockett Campbell; his son, Caleb Campbell; his daughter, Courtney Windhom and her husband, Mitchal Windhom; and his two cherished granddaughters, Scarlett and Elowyn Windhom. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Esther Bird (Rick), Bridgot Harmon (Scott), and Randolph "Randy" Campbell III (Angel); his nieces and nephews, Josh Campbell, Richie Bird, Felicia Graves (Amil) Kamila Graves, and Deo Campbell (Sonja) Deion Campbell; as well as many extended family members and dear friends.
