Charles Bentley Levitt age 72, of Bastian, passed away Monday, September 11, 2017.  He was born in Clearfork section of Tazewell County on October 17, 1944 to the late Charles Herbert and Geneva Imogene Dalton Levitt.  Charles was a United States Army Veteran having served in the Vietnam war.  Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Margaret Ann Profitt Levitt of Bastian; son and daughter-in-law, Charles "Chuck" and Melissa Levitt of Bastian; daughter, Mary Geneva Havens of Rural Retreat; sister, Anna Gale Page of Bastian; grandchild Cayden Willis.

Funeral service will be held 7 P.M. Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Bland Funeral Chapel with Pastor Fred Farley officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 until the time of the service Thursday.  Graveside services will be held Friday at 11 A.M. at the Virginia Veteran Cemetery in Dublin, VA.
