Charles Michael (Mike) McMillan born August 17, 1958 also known to his grandchildren as (Papa Chuck) of Roanoke, VA and formerly of Wythe Co., VA passed away on April 25, 2026. Mike was preceded in death by his grandmother Gladys McMillan, mother Janie McMillan and brother Jeffrey McMillan.

Survived by his wife Lee McMillan; mother & father-in-law Joseph and Wanda Nawrocki, son Adam McMillan, daughters Kendra Barbour (Luke), Brie Anne Pehlke (Ethan); grandchildren Christian and Lola Barbour, Easton (Little Man) and Bennett (Butterbean) Pehlke and his best 4 legged friend Fred.

Also surviving is his father Charles B. McMillan, sisters Diana VanAntwerp (Barney), Michelle Burton (Luther) and Lynda (Susie) Thomas (Zane). Mike has many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews who also survive him.

Mike was a 1976 Graduate of Rural Retreat High School where he excelled at baseball earning him a scholarship from Bridgewater College. His team there would be inducted into their Hall of Fame in the year 2025. Mike Spent many years selling insurance and making friends across the state. After retiring Mike spent his days with family, his best friend Fred, participating in vendor fairs where he sold race car memorabilia and fishing at the Rural Retreat Lake.Mike was able to travel to new place and meet new friends throughout his life.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or the Autism Research Center.

A memorial service will be held 11 A.M. Thursday, April 30, 2026 at the Lindsey Memorial Chapel with Brother Robert Mulgrew officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before service time. Private inurnment will follow in the Mountain View Cemetery in Rural Retreat, VA.
