Charlotte McAllister Mabe, age 86, of Wytheville, VA passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2018. She was born September 12, 1931 in Wytheville, daughter of the late Clarence Edward and Fannie Wright McAllister.  She was preceded in death by her husband, George Eugene (Gene) Mabe.  Charlotte attended Fellowship Baptist Church.  She is survived by two daughters, Tena Hubble and husband Randall of Marion, VA, Candice Simmons of Parrott, VA; two sons, Chauncey Galang-Mabe and wife Evelina of Miami, FL and Arthur (Pete) Mabe of Wytheville, VA; grandchildren, Rhiannon Richards and husband Chris, Kayla Hubble, Alexis Vazquez and husband Carlos, Rachel Mabe, Karla Mabe and Brian Mabe; very special great-grandson, Jaiden Vazquez; several very special nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 27, 2018 at the Barnett Funeral Home with Reverend David Gary officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:00 noon until service time at the funeral home.
