Christine Elizabeth Brown, age 74, of Wytheville, VA passed away Saturday, June 17, 2017. She was born April 13, 1943 in Wythe County, daughter of the late Robert Luther Brown, Sr. and Minnie Woods Brown.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Nathaniel Brown, Sr.; daughter, Mary Elizabeth Galloway; sister, Lou Ella Brown; brothers, Robert Brown, Jr., Richard Brown, Roger Brown, Jerry Brown and Danny Brown. Christine attended Antioch Greater Love Ministries. She is survived by four daughters, Frances and Harvey Cook, Sr. of Wytheville, VA, Joyce Brown of Wytheville, VA, Wanda Brown of Salem, VA, Betty and David Allen of Wytheville, VA; two sons, Donald Jackson of Wytheville, VA and Nathaniel Brown, Jr. of Wytheville, VA; son-in-law, Herman Galloway of Mt. Airy, NC; three sisters, Phyllis Brown of Wytheville, VA, Edna Breazeal of West Minister, SC and Sally Powers of Cleveland, OH; brother, James Brown of Cleveland, OH; special friend, Henry Starkey, Jr. of Roanoke, VA; s pecial family  friend, Percemia Moore.  A host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 22, 2017 at the Barnett Funeral Chapel with Pastor Levi Turner, Jr., Bishop Nolan Wolfe and Pastor Charles Brown officiating.

Interment will follow in West End Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday one hour before service time.
