Connie Dillow Dewilde, age 70, of Bland, VA, passed away Thursday, September 5, 2024. She was born in Bland, VA on December 3, 1953 the daughter of the late Estel Dillow and Myrtle Pauley Dillow. She was also preceded in death by one sister Gladys Epperson. She loved the outdoors and animals. She loved her family and spoiled all of her nieces and nephews. She was the life of any party. Connie served her community as a Teachers Aide. She proudly served as a volunteer firefighter for more than 15 years at the Bland County Volunteer Fire Department.

Connie is survived by her husband Michael "Mike" Dewilde; daughter Tina Morehead and husband Travis of Staunton, VA; brother Donnie Dillow of Bland, VA; sisters Brenda Cruff and husband Andrew of Ceres VA, Debra Blankenship of Wytheville VA;  Several Nieces and Nephews; Great Nieces and Nephews; and Great Great Nieces and Nephews.

Funeral Service will be held Saturday, September 7, 2024 at 3 pm at the Bland Funeral Chapel with Pastor Kevin Richardson officiating.  The family will receive friends from 2 pm until service time.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Bland County Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box 25, Bland, VA 24315 or to your local area humane society.
