Curtis Dean Crawford, age 67, of Barren Springs, VA passed away Thursday, October 6, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Zora Padgett Crawford; siblings, Foy Crawford, Janet McDaniel, Larry Crawford, Ed Crawford, Terry Crawford, Roy Crawford, Bill Crawford and Charlie Crawford; two nephews.

Curt served his community for 43 years with the Barren Springs Volunteer Fire Department,  17 years as Chief. He was a dedicated worker, helping many friends and neighbors with anything they may have needed, day of night.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Cheryl Crawford; children, Nola and Paul Hillenberg, Kevin and DeeDee Crawford, Carrie and Donnie Davis; grandchildren, Alyssa and James Fitchett, Colton Hillenberg, Aaron Crawford, Chandler Crawford and Eric Crawford, Hanna Davis and Taylor Davis; siblings, Ruth Davidson, Joe and Becky Crawford, Veda Crawford, Sharon and Danny Dalton, Brenda Coleman and Rick Mullins, Rachel and Paul Lee; sisters-in-law, Ann Crawford and Thelma Crawford; numerous nieces and nephews; special friend, Pat Arnold; pets, Banjer and Sassy; Firemen and Auxiliary at Barren Springs Volunteer Fire Department.

The family will receive friends beginning at 5:00 p.m. Friday, October 21, 2022 at Riverview Church of God, followed by a memorial service at 7:00 p.m. with the Reverend Eddie Dalton and Reverend Hal Lewis officiating.
