Dallas Harold Stroupe, age 88, of Max Meadows, VA passed away Sunday, November 5, 2023. He was born April 2, 1935 in Wythe County, the son of the late Gleaves Stroupe and Stella Funk Stroupe Mabe.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Lydia Hick Collins and Shirley Mae Jenkins; three brothers, Ernest Stroupe, Edward Eugene Stroupe and William Stroupe.

Survivors include his daughter, Brenda Susie Buck of Wytheville; son, David Allen Stroupe of Piney; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; special friends, James "Buggie" Bishop, Bob Melton, and Stanley Spicer.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 10, 2023 at the Barnett Funeral Chapel with the Reverend J.R. Gilman officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time.

Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Groseclose, VA.
