Daniel Ray Michael Jennings, age 73, of Max Meadows, VA passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2024. He was born December 27, 1950 in Wythe County, the son of the late Daniel Webb Jennings and Stella H. Lawson Jennings. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Lucy Dalton Jennings; an infant daughter, two sisters, Barbara Jean Blankenship and Wilma Mae Jennings; a brother, Gary Lee Jennings.

Daniel was a member of Pickett's Chapel Church of God.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Donnie Stuart of Austinville, Regina and Michael Reece of Hillsville, VA; four grandchildren, Chris Stuart, Ashley Gray, Samantha Reece and Sydney Reece; three sisters and brother-in-law, Linda and Lum Dalton, Susan York, all of Barren Springs, VA and Wanda Jennings of Max Meadows; special friend, Dorothy Cregger of Draper, VA; his beloved pet, "Little Bear". Several nieces, nephews and many extended family and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 1, 2024 at Reese Funeral Home with the Reverend Joe Blackwell and Reverend Eddie Dalton officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before service time.

Burial will follow in the Jennings-Lawson Cemetery. American Legion Post #9 will conduct graveside military rites.
