Darlene Leslie Turpin, age 52, of Max Meadows, VA passed away Sunday, October 27, 2024. She was born November 16, 1971 in Smyth County, daughter of the late Joseph and Shirley Anderson Smith.

Survivors include her husband of 25 years, Jerry Turpin; children, Jacob Turpin and fiancée Rebekah Clark, Jonah Turpin and wife Katy, Jordan Hayes and husband Kristopher and expected 1st grandchild; siblings, Debbie Hyler, Donna Powell (Mark), Diana Cressell (Ricky), Denise Crigger (Terry), Danny Hyler (Leanne), Darren Smith (Connie) and Michael Taylor. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 3, 2024 at Lindsey Memorial Chapel with the Reverend Darren Smith and Reverend Todd Porter officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before service time.

Private inurnment will be held at a later date. Lindsey Funeral Home, Rural Retreat, VA is serving the Turpin family.
