David Elwood Chandler, age 73, of Bland, VA passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2017.  He was born on February 6, 1944 in Bland County, the son of the late Clarence and Marie Blankenship Chandler.  David was preceded in death by a brother, Junior Chandler.

He is survived by his son, David Chandler, of Bland, VA; one brother, Bobby and Patty Chandler of Bland, VA; four sisters, Virginia and Melvin Cox of Bland, VA, Mary Ann and Bob DeWilde of Jacksonville, NC, Sue Caudill of Rocky Gap, VA, and Nancy and Steve Brown of Bland, VA;  and four grandchildren, Alexandria, Destynee, Katriana, and Casandra.

A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, November 17, 2017 at the Bland Cemetery with Dr. Doug Hyndrich officiating.
