David Bayne Jones, age 69, of Rural Retreat, Va passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at home. He was born in Wythe County, VA. on July 29, 1954 to the late Early Jones and Mary Lucille Blevins Jones.

He was preceded in death by father Early Jones, mother Mary Lucille Blevins Jones; sisters, Mary "Poochie" Allison, Elizabeth "Rooster" Burnett, Jackaline "Jackie" Simpson; brothers Charles "Charlie" Allison, and Michael "Bodean" Jones.

He is survived by daughters Alyssa Diane Jones, Roseanna Marie Jones; granddaughters Makatlyn Armstrong, Makenzie Isom; grandsons Jacob Aker-Jones, Brier Isom; sisters Susie Dunford, Gayle and Dean Tolley, Hattie and Stevie Reed, Christine and Robert Corvin; brothers Early Jones Jr., John "Johnny" Jones; many Nieces and Nephews; and many special friends.

Graveside service will be held Friday, May 31, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at the Mountain View Cemetery in Rural Retreat with Shane Jones officiating. Interment to follow.
