Deanna Darnell Peake Pauley, age 84, of Galax, VA passed away Sunday, November 9, 2025. She was born April 8, 1941 in Wythe County, daughter of the late William Melton Peake and Mary Magdaline Peake. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jewell "Tuty" Adufus Pauley and several sisters and brothers.

Survivors include her daughter, Nancy "Pidge" and Raymond Collins of Barren Springs;  two sons, Doug and Aimee Pauley, Mike Pauley, all of Galax; three sisters, Helen Corvin of Max Meadows, Linda Wingfield of Rural Retreat and Brenda Stone of Speedwell; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, nine-great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; her beloved dog "Bruce"; many extended family and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 14, 2025 at Poplar Camp Church of God of Prophecy with the Reverend Lonnie Frazier officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time.

Burial will follow in the Bethany Community Church Cemetery.
