DEBORAH SUE TAYLOR

March 15, 1961 – February 24, 2026

Our beloved Deborah Sue Taylor, age 64, of Wytheville, VA passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2026. She was born on March 15, 1961 in Wythe County, the daughter of the late Edward Garland Taylor, Sr. and Phyllis Rogers Taylor Black. Deborah was also preceded in death by a sister and a brother, Mary Frances Taylor and Jerry Wayne Taylor.

Deborah is survived by two daughters, Bianca Denise Hale of Rural Retreat, VA and Jennifer Nicole Taylor of Detroit, MI; and her grandson, Zarek Laquan Scope Hale. Deborah also leaves behind her special friend of many years, C.J. Burkes. Deborah came into this world with her twin sister and best friend, Priscilla Kay Taylor. She came from a large family and leaves behind three additional sisters, Phyllis Ann Brown, Merian Lee Taylor and Elizabeth Leona Miller. Deborah also leaves behind two brothers, Edward Garland Taylor of Wytheville and Anthony Ricardo Taylor of Mary Esther, FL. The family would also like to recognize our extended family, the Blacks, for their love and support. Deborah Sue was loved by her nieces and nephews as well as a host of friends and co-workers. She will truly be missed by many.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 21, 2026 at Franklin Street United Methodist Church with the family receiving friends at 1:00 p.m. and the service will begin at 2:00 with Reverend Harry Grubb officiating. The family will also receive friends at the church following the service.
