Debra "Debbie" Lawson Griffin, age 70, of Austinville, VA passed away Sunday, July 27, 2025. She was born March 24, 1955 in Guilford County, NC, daughter of the late Roy A. Lawson and Mamie Cooper Lawson.

Survivors include her husband, Gerry Griffin of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jason and Melissa Barley of Fries, VA, Travis and Rebecca Griffin of Galax, VA; "Thomas" the cat; a brother, Ronnie Lawson of Sturgis, South Dakota; four grandchildren, Hunter Barley, Kiera Barley, Evelyn Griffin and Elliott Griffin; special friend, Rhonda Skipper. Several nieces, nephews and many extended family and friends also survive.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at Myers Cemetery with the Reverend Virginia Riggins officiating. There will be no public viewing.
