Della Gay Baldwin Pruett, age 80, of Rocky Gap VA, formerly of Spanishburg,WV passed away January 20, 2025 at Lindside Health Care Center.

Born July 26, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Orley Green Baldwin and Agness Adelle French Baldwin.  Della graduated from Spanishburg High School. She attended Rocky Gap Methodist Church as long as she was able. She worked and retired from the Telephone Company in Bluefield. She was a devoted wife and sister. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald Pruett; sisters Thelma, Mildred, Loise, Neva, Blanche, Virginia, Nada, June, Kella, Karen; and brothers Willis, Ronald, and Kyle.

Those left to cherish Della and Donald memory, her nephew that lived with them and took care of them Ricky Pruett; her sisters Frances Mckinney and husband Sebert of Kegley, WV and Deborah Atkins of Princeton, WV; several nieces and nephews; and many close friends and extended family.

Funeral Services will be conducted, Friday, January 24, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. at the Bland Funeral Chapel with Reverend Rodney Lawson officiating; The family will receive friends, Friday, January 24, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.at the Bland Funeral Chapel in Bland VA. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Bland County School Board, 31 Rocket Dr., Bland, VA 24315
