Della Mae VanBlaricom, 103, of Rocky Gap, VA, entered heaven's gates on August 3, 2024 at 6:30pm surrounded by her daughter, family and friends.

She served her Lord and Savior caring for her family and faithfully attending all church services and activities until she was physically unable to do so.  She loved crocheting, cooking for family, canning, working her vegetable and flower gardens, spoiling her grandchildren and spreading the gospel to all she met.  Her face would light up when any child would sit on her lap and give her hugs and kisses, related or not.  She lit up every room she walked into with her beautiful face and warm inviting smile.  She was always there willing to help if the need arose.  She has left a lasting impression and never ending love on all who knew her and will be missed until we meet her again.

She is preceded in death by her husband George E. VanBlaricom, brothers Earl Lambert and wife Mae, Herman Lambert and wife Dorothy, son Ronnie C. VanBlaricom, daughter, Florence Ann Havens and Dana VanBlaricom.

She is survived by her daughter, Bertha M. Canfield, daughter-in-law Debbie VanBlaricom, grandchildren, Rhonda Kennedy (husband Tony Kennedy) of Rocky Gap VA, Matthew VanBlaricom of Tazewell, VA, George VanBlaricom (wife Miranda) of Rocky Gap, VA, Michelle Roth (husband Pete Roth) of Charleston, WV and Joe Havens of Kokomo, Indiana.  Great-grandchildren, Andrew Kennedy, Joseph Kennedy, Samuel Kennedy, Shannon VanBlaricom, Cyrus VanBlaricom of Rocky Gap, VA, Jacob Roth of Charleston, WV, Kacy Havens of Dandridge, TN and Wiley Havens of Frankfort, IN.  Great-great-grandchildren, Bella and Caden Huezo of Dandridge, TN, her loving Laurel Fork Baptist Church family who faithfully prayed for her during the last several years and many more children and grandchildren that she called hers.

Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday, August, 7, 2024 at 1 P.M. at the Laurel Fork Baptist Church in Rocky Gap VA; with Pastor's Robert Walker and Travis Bradshaw officiating, burial will follow at the Lambert Family Cemetery in Rocky Gap VA. The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 7, 2024 from 12 Noon until Service time.
