Denise Riggins Hillenburg, age 52, of Austinville, VA passed away Sunday, November 17, 2024. She was born January 28, 1972 in Galax, VA, daughter of the late Malcolm Harry Riggins and Alma Phillips Riggins. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Judy Riggins Monroe and two brothers, Michael Riggins and Randall Riggins.

Survivors include her husband, James Hillenburg; four brothers and sisters-in-law, William Harris and Janet Phillips of Suffolk, VA, Malcolm Odell Riggins, Rufus Roy and Anita Riggins, Terry Lee and Becky Riggins, all of Austinville; special friend, Larry Brown; several nieces, nephews and many extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at Reese Funeral Home with Reverend Hal Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in Bethany Community Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Monday, November 25th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
