Diana Cirulnick Shinault, age 89, from Wythe County VA, loving mother of six, and devoted wife to husband Clyde Shinault, went to be with her Lord on Dec. 10, 2022 after a long battle with Alzheimer's.

Diana was born on April 28, 1933 in Brooklyn New York, the last of nine children to Soloman and Bertha Cirulnick, all whom are now deceased.  She met her husband Clyde while he was stationed in the Army at Governor's Island, in NY. They owned and operated Shinault's Grocery in Austinville, VA for over 30 years.

Diana was a loyal member of Rural Retreat Baptist Church where she loved attending and loved her church family.

She was young at heart and enjoyed swimming, music (Esp. Elvis), dancing, playing games, sports, romantic and mystery movies, travel, and of course spending time with family.

Diana is survived by her daughter Renee' and Deron Porter of Max Meadows, VA; four sons Brad Shinault of Austinville, VA, Kevin and Kara Shinault of Pilot Mountain, NC, David and Jewel Shinault of Florence, SC, Richard and Dawn Shinault of Bristol, TN; son-in-law Randall Dunford; twelve grandchildren Tyler Porter, Justin Porter and girlfriend Taylor Roark, Brandon Shinault and Christie, Ryan and Tiffany Shinault, Kaitlyn and Luke Butcher, Kyle and Sarah Shinault, Amber and Brian Alvey, Krista and Patrick Hay, Josh Shinault, Caleb Shinault, Phillip Shinault and Matthew Shinault. She also had many nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death was her husband Clyde of 45 years and oldest daughter Stephanie Dunford of Rural Retreat, VA.

Diana always had a smile for everyone and never met a stranger. She will be deeply missed.

Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at Reese Funeral Home with Pastor David Shinault officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:00 P.M. until service time. Pallbears will be Family and Friends. Burial will follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery.
