Doris V. Bralley, of Austinville, VA went to her Heavenly home on Thursday, April 4, 2024. She was born February 3, 1930 to Frank and Winnie Fields. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Charles F. Fields; a son, Joseph D. Bralley and her beloved husband of 65 years, Douglas Bralley.

Doris spent years at the Presbyterian Children's Home, located at Foster Falls, where she met the love of her life, Doug. She spoke of the many happy memories made there. Doris devoted her life serving others in the healthcare field. She was a devoted wife, mother and friend. Most knew her simply as Grandma Bralley.

She is survived by her son, Douglas Michael "Mike" and wife Ruth M. Bralley; daughter, Nancy B. and husband Roger L. Parnell; daughters-in-law, Freida B. Bralley and Jane H. Dawson; nine grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren; many extended family and friends; special caregivers, Julia B. Baltazar and Sheridan Ann Kelly, who shared many unforgettable memories; special friends and neighbors, Harvey and Gayle Wright. A special thanks to her beautician and friend, Joann Campbell and Pat Austin "Pickle Lady" for her endless supply of her favorite pickles. Thanks from the family to Medi Home Hospice.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 7, 2024 at the Foster Falls Community Church with the Reverend Ronnie Isom officiating. Burial will follow in Foster Falls Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Saturday, April 6th from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the Reese Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the Presbyterian Children's Home in Wytheville.
