Earl Lee Addair, son of the late Wallace and Belvia Roxie Addair, was born on January 21, 1939 at home in the mountains of McDowell County, West Virginia. He went to be with the Lord on October 24, 2023 at his home in Bland, Virginia. He was preceded in death by both parents; his brother, Howard S. Addair and his sister, Helen Addair Spears.

Earl married Alice Shirley Christian on October 19, 1957 in Lebanon, VA. He always considered the life with his wife and children to be the biggest joy and reward that God had provided him.

He also had a lot of passion for his jobs in the coal mines and remained a dedicated member of the UMWA his entire life.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 66 years, Alice C. Addair; his three children, his son-in-law and daughters-in-law: Scott and Marsha Addair, Chris and Dotty Addair, Leigh and Marcus Christian; his grandchildren: Brandon Addair, Monica & Trey Choate, Tyler Gryder, Mason Christian and his girlfriend Sabryna, Patrick and Sheena Christian; his great-grandchildren: Kaydon Addair, Grace Addair, Gabriella Addair, Ava Choate, Cooper Choate and Nathan Choate; many nieces and nephews.

Memorial services and inurnment will be held at a later date.  Highland Bland Funeral Chapel, Bland, VA  is serving the Addair family.
