Earl Douglas Sheppard, age 79, of Wytheville, VA (the Piney Community) passed away Monday, April 17, 2017. He was born January 24, 1938 in Pulaski County, the son of the late Raymond Sheppard and Marie Farlow Wolfe.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucy Pearl Arnold Sheppard. Earl attended Liberty Hill Pentecostal Holiness Church.  He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Patty and Bobby Blair of Wytheville, VA; grandson and spouse, Shaun and Melody Blair; caregivers, Barbara Hall and Cynthia Porter.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at Liberty Hill Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Reverend Bob Lewis officiating.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until service time at the church of at the residence at any time.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery.
